Creating Success
You Attract What You Focus On
Have you ever felt so upset about something that no matter what happened for the rest of the day everything appeared to be negative? For some reason you become an expert at finding the negative in any situation…
On the flipside have you ever felt so great that all of a sudden the roses were redder, the sky was bluer and the world just couldn’t be any more magical? All you can see are positive and great things happening everywhere!
If you’re anything like me you’re probably thinking I’m describing your every week just now!
It’s a simple concept called the law of attraction and I wanted to share with you how you can use it to your advantage so that you can live a life full of what you want, not what you don’t want
To put it basically – You get what you focus on.
If you focus on negative things, you’ll attract more negative things into your life. Think about it, when you’re in a negative mindset you see more negative things yes? There aren’t any more negative things happening that day it’s just that you’ve tuned your brain into a negative station so it’s picking up those signals.
The opposite can be said when you focus on positive things. All of a sudden you see the opportunities to come out of situations that most would see as doom and gloom.
The key here is how do you control this?
Most people go through each day a victim to their environment. Eg: When on holidays relaxing they are in the positive mindset and everything is great!
Monday rolls around and back to work, negative mindset kicks in and everything sucks again!
This rollercoaster can be pretty damn tiring! So if you want off the rollercoaster try these tips
1 – Start your day with a positive affirmation. This is a sentence or two which is highly personal and centred around who you want to be. It might go something like…. “I will enable myself to be healthy, happy, energetic and be a great role model for everyone around me. Today I am going to seek every opportunity to (insert what you want to do).”
Starting your day like this will set your brains GPS to be looking for the right things.
2 – Surround yourself with people who you want to be like.
This doesn’t have to be in person, although it can be. Some ways you can do this are… A) read books about what it is that you want to achieve. B) Read inspiring autobiographies. C) Join a networking group relevant to what you’re doing. D) Go out of your way to meet people in person or online.
Even finding facebook pages where they share motivating or inspiring quotes and pictures is really useful for keeping you in a great state of mind.

3 – Figure out EXACTLY what you want out of your life and remind yourself daily.
If you wake up with that thing in your mind everyday you’ll be amazed at the things that seem to pop up in front of you
Normally I wouldn’t recommend taking on board what a movie star has to say however I will make an exception for Will Smith. This guy is very tuned in to how powerful our brains are and how to best use them to our advantage.
